Learn about El

Hi, my name is El and I've been working with people from all walks of life for some time now.

My passions are working with people who are LGBTQia+, Neurodivergent, First Nations, and people who have experienced traumatic events in their life.

El's background

Hi, I’m El (She/Her), a bubbly, queer and neurodivergent psychologist who has been working with people from all walks of life and corners of the world for some time. I have a passion for working with people who are of the LGBTQIA+, Neurodivergent, First Nations communities, and those who have experienced traumatic events in their life. My strengths are helping clients feel safe to be themselves and to share their story, knowing they will be accepted for who they are. My approach is very down to earth, empathetic and warm.

I have a very modern, affirming approach while utilising trauma informed, strengths based, client centred, LGBTQIA+ and Neurodiverse affirming modalities. I'm trained in Schema Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TFCBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectal behaviour therapy (DBT) and Emotional freedom techniques (EFT).

El has worked with a variety of presentations including complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, gender dysphoria, body dysmorphia, anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, critical incident response, pain management, and interpersonal relationship difficulties. She has a strong interest in the intersection of neurodiversity and complex trauma.

El is a mum of two incredible cockatiels and loves spending time with them. In other areas of her life you could find them spending loads of time playing videogames or at one of her burlesque classes.
